Higher Education Policy

There are various dimensions of higher education policy in any country let alone Sri Lanka. Among these dimensions undoubtedly is what the policy makers think on the issues of higher education and related matters. The aim of this NCAS webpage on "Higher Education Policy" is to provide information to scholars, practitioners and administrators of higher education, particularly in Sri Lanka, to have access to what the ‘thinking is' and ‘thinking behind' the current higher education policy in the country. The information we believe could be used for research as well as for policy purposes.

We are pleased to begin this webpage by posting the Speeches of Professor Wiswa Warnapala, Minister of Higher Education. The speeches are posted beginning the recent most one backwards. We sincerely acknowledge the cooperation of the Minister in this endeavour and hope to incorporate more useful information on this page in the future.
